I’ve known Alicia for a few years now and she is hands down one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Chris is a charmer and does a fantastic job at making Alicia laugh. If Alicia were Lois Lane, Chris is definitely her Superman!
Prior to my engagement sessions I send out a pre-shoot questionnaire. Not only did Chris & Alicia take the time to fill out the questionnaire together, they responded with his and her answers. It was perfect. I had so much fun reading through their responses. They get the award for Best Questionnaire EVER!
How did you meet?
Alicia: We swiped right on Tinder. She loved peanut butter on her french toast, and he thought he was funny.
Chris: Knew he was funny and clever.
Alicia: I guess he was funny and clever because I kept talking to him.
Chris: I never actually called her until the day before I met her… she had a cute laugh so she passed the first deal breaker.
What kind of jobs do you both have?
A: I work in social media and digital advertising as well as personal training. Chris is a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army, but he also thinks he’s Super Man. I can’t really argue with that one because he has the curl and the jaw-line and he kills the spiders.
C: She is a personal trainer extraordinaire! She is very good at focusing people on what their true health and fitness goals are and wants to improve peoples lives and well being. She also works at a start up company where she helped to make it the booming company it is today as one of the founding four employees. After a short lived stint at professional baseball I decided to join the military where I am a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army. I serve in the Engineer Branch and I have been a platoon leader and a company executive officer; both of which have been rewarding in their own ways.
Because sometimes fate deems it necessary for a hot air balloon to fly over right as you take the picture.Tell me about your first date?
C: After talking via Tinder for a few days, I had to go to training for 2 weeks so I got her number. I came back to civilization and she was the third person I asked to be my date to a ball… in 3 days.
A: I really wanted to dress up in a ball gown, so naturally I said yes, and proceeded to pack my bags to go spend an evening with a guy I’d never met in a town 2 hours away from anyone else I knew. I had no clue I was the third choice. It’s probably best he didn’t mention his other two potential dates until many months after we had been dating.
C: She was the first to say “yes” so I told the other girls that they couldn’t go anymore. She showed up late the night of the ball and then came into my apartment and commandeered my bedroom and bathroom to get ready for the ball.
A: To be fair, the dress I ordered didn’t arrive until the day we were supposed to go to the ball and the UPS guy was WAY later on his delivery than normal, and I was not about to go to a military ball without a ball gown. Heck no. So finally after anxiously waiting for the UPS guy all afternoon he showed up, I grabbed my dress (praying that it actually fit since I hadn’t tried it on yet), hopped in my car and sped at about 90 miles an hour (no joke) to St. Robert Missouri so I wouldn’t be late. Once I got to his apartment we had a brief in-person introduction where he gave me a single red rose and showed me around his apartment. He did show me his room, which I took as an invitation for me to use how I pleased to finish getting ready. In hindsight I think he probably just wanted to show off his pride and joy- a very nice bedroom set that he bought himself when he moved it, and to this day loves to show off to anyone that visits our home, but oh well…I just made myself at home.
C: I didn’t really get to develop much of a first impression out of the short hello, but the minute she opened the door and stepped out of my bedroom, she was without a doubt the most beautiful woman that I had ever laid my eyes on. Over the course of the night she showed me that her intellect, attitude, ambition and matched her looks.
A: We danced the night away and even with a few spilled Blue Moon’s it was perfect.
