The beautiful town of Oia is probably the most iconic of all the greek islands. Featuring the blue domed churches, you’re likely to recognize the place even if you’ve never heard the name, Oia. With that iconic view brings an influx of tourists during the day. In addition to all the regular visitors, cruise ships dock, and everyone wanders down the narrow streets, dining at the delicious restaurants, browsing the shops, or just enjoying the views. In an effort to ditch some of the crowds, Alicia, Chris, and I rose way before the sun. The hours of sleep missed were not in vein as we relatively had the town to ourselves.. The sunset views in Santorini are world renown, but if you are able to rise early enough, the sunrise is far less crowded and just as magical.
