Jessica (a.k.a Jessie) & I worked together at the hospital when I was on break from college. She relocated a couple of years ago to Cincinnati. When she got engaged last year she e-mailed me about shooting her wedding and I was so excited. Jessie really wanted her engagement pictures taken in Cincinnati, but the first session we planned last fall had to be rescheduled due to weather. So we tried again, and this time our date worked perfectly.
Now ever since Jessie & I planned on the session in Cincinnati I have had a silly song stuck in my head. I’ll be super impressed if you know what movie it’s from. It starts like this: “C-I-N-C-I-N-N-A-T-I, Cincinnati! The best town in O-H-I-O, Ohio, USA! At first they called it Cincy, but since Cincy is so natty, they named it Cincinnati, so they say.” Can you guess? It was one of my favorite movies as a kid, much to my mother’s dismay. But if you haven’t figured it out you’ll have to wait until the end, because I just can’t wait any longer to show you Jessie & her fiance John’s awesomeness!
So another line of the song goes: “the girls are really pretty in this pretty little city!” And how right that statement is. Jessie you are simply gorgeous!
The color for Jessica & John’s wedding are black & yellow, so when we made a pit stop at the car Jessie had to adorn a new pair of shoes, and John added a tie. The shoes & tie were just a small change but added such a huge pop of color. I was in love!
Jessie also wanted to take some pictures in Loveland, where she & John like to ride bikes along the trail! So we packed up, and headed out of the city!
Oh and yes that is a picture of me taking a picture, haha! I forgot to mention my great friend Rosie Warner who accompanied me on the trip. She helped keep me entertained on the drive, wrestled with some uncooperative balloons, and took a few shots with her own camera when she wasn’t holding my reflector. I have great friends! Blingage!!!!!!
There was an additional model we picked up, while making the final clothing change right before the sun set. Meet lil’ miss Chloe!
Sadly, this is the end. I had such a great time getting to catch up with Jessie, and explore Cincinnati. I didn’t want the trip to end. Now I’m looking forward to their wedding in June which will take place at the Lake of the Ozarks where they first met!
So anyone still not know what the song is from? I’ll give you a hint, Keanu Reeves plays in the movie! Still don’t know? Okay fine I’ll tell you! BABES IN TOYLAND! And if you’ve never seen it, you should!
